One2One Fitness in Exeter provides so much more than your standard personal training services. It would be easy for us to provide you with exercises to lose weight, and tell you what food to avoid, but that’s not what we’re about – we go two steps further to provide our clients with a fully personalised plan, tailored to suit their goals and lifestyle.

Our aim is to provide personal training, fitness training and strength and conditioning for people of all shapes and sizes. Not everyone who goes to a gym is a professional athlete or prized weight lift and we recognise this. Most of our clients are just like you, looking to lose a bit of weight or to generally become fitter. We’re based on the Sowton Industrial Estate, just off the M5 and only a short drive from the centre of Exeter.

Whether you’re training for a sports event, want to improve your general health and fitness, or are recovering from illness or injury, One2One can help. We’ll listen to your goals, chat about where you want to be, and then design a plan that will help you to reach those goals in a realistic, healthy way, with a plan that you can fit in around your lifestyle.

Free Initial PT Consultation - Set Your Fitness and Nutrition Goals

The first step starts with a consultation. This is completely free of charge and you’re under no obligation to continue. This session gives us both chance to get to know each other and discuss your personal fitness aims. We’ll take a few moments to discuss your background, your lifestyle, and your current level of fitness; from here we’ll set your personal training goals and I’ll explain how I can help you to achieve them using a tailored fitness regime and nutrition plan.

The Bridge

We use a highly effective training model called The Bridge. In short, this means that we’ll assess where you are now, set your goals, and build a fully personalised training regime to bridge that gap.

During your initial consultation, we’ll chat about:

  • Your general health
  • Your goal weight
  • Your current fitness level
  • Your goal fitness level
  • Nutrition
  • Work and lifestyle behaviours

This enables us to build a pretty clear picture of how your lifestyle may be influencing your diet and fitness levels, and enable us to start thinking about how we may be able to help you to change everyday habits to better the effects of your training programme. We often find that clients are “stuck in their ways” and sometimes just breaking small habits or making simple changes can really help and enable clients to reach goals sooner.

By gauging your current fitness levels, we’ll be able to design a training programme that is in tune with you body and will progress at a healthy rate that feels comfortable, but also pushes you.

Your Personal Training Programme

If you’re serious about reaching your training goals, then a One2One training programme is what you need. Your personal training programme will include workouts to do both here at the fitness centre, and at home, as well as nutritional advice and diet plans if necessary.

Once you’ve signed up, the first session will be about testing your current fitness level in order to get all of those vital facts and figures. This will involve:

  • Fitness tests
  • Discussing your current diet and nutrition (what you like, allergies, % of carbs, proteins, fats etc)
  • Setting diet plans
  • Planning training regimes
  • Chat about how we may refine diet and training plans over time as you get closer to your goals

We work with clients on a one-to-one basis as we have found this is the best way of delivering tailored training plans and coaching. A lot of the clients we train have ‘gym phobia’ and don’t like the idea of going to larger Exeter gyms and training in a room full of others, this isn’t a problem for us. Our private gym has been created to work with clients one to one. We have a wide range of fitness equipment to help you to achieve your weight loss of fitness goals.

All of the One2One personal trainers have a wealth of experience in competitive sport at the highest of levels and bring this knowledge and experience to our clients. We are also highly qualified in a range of disciplines, so you can be confident in the training plans we provide.

Easy Access Facilities in Exeter

We know that it’s not always possible for our clients to spend a couple of hours every day with us, and that’s no problem. We’ll tailor the programme to fit in with your lifestyle, giving you tips and regimes to do at home and work, to keep up and better the work you do whilst you’re here in our studio. We are conveniently located on the outskirts of Exeter, giving clients for surrounding areas easy access to our services.
