I have been having one to one PT with James for about three years. I am in my seventies and my workouts are targeted on increasing and maintaining my strength and conditioning for regular tennis and for working around the house and garden.
So why do I workout with James?
As a very experienced Strength and Conditioning coach he understands the specific weight and exercise routines that I need to achieve my goals, such as focusing on what will help my tennis performance. His specific focus is that I use the correct technique in all routines, so that the targeted muscle groups are engaged without undue strain (or subsequent injury). It’s not just about increasing the weights. James has a deep knowledge and understanding of a wide repertoire of exercises. This means our sessions are always interesting; They are never dull nor boring.
I have a weekly session with James; in addition he helps me with my own extra programme of exercises outside our one-to-one sessions. This has been especially valuable when I have been recovering from sports injuries.
Overall, it’s really great working with James. He is able to make it fun while pushing me towards my goals. “I always come out feeling better and more alive than when I went in”
